The groovy era of the seventies brought many changes
to Walt Disney’s spectacular park, Disneyland.
Disneyland 1970-1979 captures the essence of the groovy era
of Walt Disney’s wondrous theme park. Many changes occurred to better the
entertainment and attractions; MainStreet,
U.S.A. received a new spectacular
Electrical Parade, filled with thousand and thousands of lights strolling down
the main strip to the rhythmic sound of Baroque Hoedown.
The Jungle Cruise added new comedic animals to the wild
terrain of Adventureland and Frontierland became
home to an eerie runaway mine train known as Big Thunder Mountain.
The land
of Fantasyland remained
charming with memorable attractions as Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Peter Pan’s
Flight and Mr. Toads Wild Ride, but a new member within the Matterhorn Bobsled
lurked about.
The world of the future, Tomorrowland,
continued to step into the future with Mission to Mars and an entertaining
salute to America’s world of music in America Sings. The jazzy land of New
Orleans Square continued to be
invaded with dastardly pirates and ghoulish ghost, but
it received a new neighbor in the form of hick style, country singing bears in
the newly develop land named, Bear
Country.
