  • Jack Lindquist - Disneyland's first President
  • Photos of Hippy Days
  • Michael Broggie shares his story about riding the railroad with Walt Disney before the park was open!

Jack Lindquist served as the president of the Disneyland from 1990 until 1993. He was a Disney employee from 1955 until his retirement, and was a marketing executive in the theme parks division for almost thirty years, including a stint as the first advertising manager for Disneyland.  As a child actor, Lindquist appeared as an extra in several episodes of Our Gang, and appeared in the film Best Foot Forward with Lucille Ball. After Lindquist retired, he received a commemorative window on Main Street USA. at Disneyland that reads J.B. Lindquist, Honorary Mayor of Disneyland. In 1994, he was named a Disney Legend

Keith Murdoch shares the story of how he and Walt Disney found the property for Disneyland. Keith Murdoch, the City Manager of Anaheim in 1955, tells the story of how in October of 1953 Anaheim was being considered as the location for a new theme park called Disneyland.

On August 6th, 1970, Disneyland, the famous Disneyland park founded by Walt Disney, was not the The Happiest Place on Earth when it was invaded by Yippies. Disney prepared for the day by asking the Orange County Police Department to be on hand. When the officers showed up before the park opening, they were decked out in full riot gear. On this DVD you can see one of the largest collection of images of that day ever seen by the public.
